The NBA has been struggling with sneakers in recent years.
Nike has been accused of using sneaker manufacturing facilities in China and other low-wage countries to cut wages, and has been hit with lawsuits over the quality of shoes that the league supplies.
In response, the league has introduced new labor policies to help address the issue.NBA owners voted in December to raise the minimum wage for all players to $20 an hour, which has helped keep the league afloat, but has also led to a decline in the number of NBA players who are on the playing roster.
