When it comes to the value of footwear, Nike shoes and shorts are the world’s most expensive and best-selling brands, according to a new study.
In a study published Tuesday in the Journal of Retail, the research firm Mercer analyzed sales data for more than 1,000 Nike shoes, according the report.
Mercer found that the Nike shoes sold for $1,100 on average, or about 20 percent more than the next most expensive brand.
The study, titled Nike and the Value of Shoes, analyzed sales records for more a quarter of a million Nike shoes.
Mercer used the company’s own data on retail sales from its footwear business.
Mercer found that Nike’s shoes accounted for about 8.3 percent of the company, which it defines as footwear that sells for $200 or more.
That’s higher than other brands such as Burberry, Dior, and Nike’s own brands such a Calvin Klein and Calvin Klein socks.
Merck also found that Adidas, which sells for around $100 on an average, was the second most expensive shoes brand in the study, with a sales rate of $3,200.
Nike, on the other hand, sold around 2.2 percent of its footwear on an annual basis.
The company’s shoes, Mercer found, were “consistently in the top 20 most expensive footwear brands in the U.S. and Canada.”
The study found that brands such Nike and Adidas accounted for a majority of the U,K.
sales for Nike shoes in the first quarter of 2018.
Nike was the largest U.K. shoe seller in the country, with sales of 3.2 million pairs, according Mercer.
Mercer’s research found that in the quarter, Nike accounted for 14 percent of all U.N. sales, up from 10 percent the previous quarter.
